چکیده
The constructing of 3D materials with optimal performance is urgently needed to meet the growing demand advanced in high-tech sector. A distinctive graphene (3DG) designed based on a repeated rebirth strategy obtain better body and after each round rebirth, as if it Phoenix Nirvana. properties reborn graphene, namely 3DG Nirvana (NvG), has been dramatically upgraded compared 3DG, including high density (3.36 times) together porosity, well electrical conductivity (1.41 times), mechanical strength (32.4 ultrafast infiltration behavior. These advantages NvG make strong intrinsic motivation for application capacitive deionization (CDI). Using directly CDI electrode, an extremely volumetric capacity 220 F cm?3 at 1 maximum salt absorption 8.02~9.2 mg (8.9–10.2 while power consumption adsorption same mass less than quarter 3DG. “Phoenix Nirvana”-like manufacturing structures will undoubtedly become new engine kick-start development innovative carbon through overall upgrade.

Water desalination across nanoporous graphene.
We show that nanometer-scale pores in single-layer freestanding graphene can effectively filter NaCl salt from water. Using classical molecular dynamics, we report the desalination performance of such membranes as a function of pore size, chemical functionalization, and applied pressure. Our results indicate that the membrane's ability to prevent the salt passage depends critically on pore diam...
متن کاملGraphene-analogues Boron Nitride nanosheets with ultrahigh ionic liquid uptake capacity as quasi-solid electrolytes
Inorganic nanoparticles are typically used as electrode materials in lithium batteries. However, to cope with the most challenge that solid electrolytes have low ionic conductivity at room or lower temperatures, here we show graphene-analogues boron nitride (g-BN) nanosheets absorbing a large quantity of ILs as a solid-like electrolyte. The layered g-BN nanosheets have very high specific surfac...
متن کاملTowards ultrahigh volumetric capacitance: graphene derived highly dense but porous carbons for supercapacitors
A small volumetric capacitance resulting from a low packing density is one of the major limitations for novel nanocarbons finding real applications in commercial electrochemical energy storage devices. Here we report a carbon with a density of 1.58 g cm(-3), 70% of the density of graphite, constructed of compactly interlinked graphene nanosheets, which is produced by an evaporation-induced dryi...
متن کاملAn ultrahigh volumetric capacitance of squeezable three-dimensional bicontinuous nanoporous graphene.
Graphene with a large specific surface area and high conductivity has a large specific capacitance. However, its volumetric capacitance is usually very low because the restacking of 2D graphene sheets leads to the loss of the large ion-accessible surface area. Here we report squeezable bicontinuous nanoporous nitrogen-doped graphene, which is extremely flexible and can tolerate large volume con...
متن کاملMultilayer Nanoporous Graphene Membranes for Water Desalination.
While single-layer nanoporous graphene (NPG) has shown promise as a reverse osmosis (RO) desalination membrane, multilayer graphene membranes can be synthesized more economically than the single-layer material. In this work, we build upon the knowledge gained to date toward single-layer graphene to explore how multilayer NPG might serve as a RO membrane in water desalination using classical mol...
